Bento Box Concept
Bento Box lunch with American ingredients?
I live in Dallas, and I have been making a ghetto version of bento boxed lunches for a few weeks. I am looking to expand my recipes, as tiny sliced sandwiches and grape tomatoes with assorted veggies is getting a little old. I have taken the concept of bento and made it using food that I am used to. But I am ready to branch out.
I need food that I can either make on a weekend and freeze in individual servings, or that is very easy to make the night before and assemble in the morning. Even suggestions pre-made from the store would work. Since I work full time and go to school full time, I do not have as much time to devote to this as I would wish. But I have found that since I have been making bento I haven’t seen the inside of a McDonalds in weeks!! My waistline and my pocketbook appreciate this.
I am not really a fish person, unless you count salmon. I am trying to use as many veggies as possible. I am open to foods from any culture, as long as I can fit them in the box!
never tried them but this site looks good
