How do I put a key cover/cap on my keys?

Okay so I bought one of those cute Hello Kitty key caps, but I don’t know how to use it? Help ): how do you put it on your key?

I’m pretty sure you take the key off the key ring and slip the key into it…I’ve wanted the Hello Kitty key cap for awhile but just haven’t bought one yet lol
