How to stop being scene?

help. i’m tired of being scene. all th hairspray and straightening and teasing and dying is KILLING my hair. and my skin is SUFFOCATING under all my makeup! i’m tired of all th cutesy hello kitty crap! i dont mind converse and vans cuz theyre super comfy but i need new ones cuz my current ones are all scene’d out and colored all over with dumb botdf lyrics. speaking of botdf, them and all kinds of other bands i used to LOVE just arent doing it for me anymore. i’m really liking Korn and Nine Inch Nails now. but what do i do to go back and be preppy again? can preppy girls listen to Korn or NIN? what about wear converse and vans? i dont care if it makes me look like a poser if i can get outta this scene crap! but i dont want ppl to like go crazy over it either so how can i pull tht off?

Preppy girls can do anything they want and listen to whatever they want.
My hope for you is that you stop caring what certain types of girls do and do just what you want. Then you’ll be happier with yourself and come off as less poser-ish.
