Why is HELLO KITTY so popular?

I do have a few Hello Kitty items back when I was a kid but now that I’m 14 I feel like it’s so annoying to see it. I went to the sheets section and there is a special place to put Hello Kitty sheets designs.
And then, I went to the books store and I saw Hello Kitty’s notebooks. Then I visited a gift shop, I met Hello Kitty keychain, pencil case, dolls.

Its very popular. Its so popular that my music teacher has a whole collection of its items: from bags to stamps, stickers, toys, pencils, crowns, wands. Everything. But it’s cute, so people seem to love it.
