Decoration for a HELLO KITTY/FIRST DAY OF FOOTBALL Party?
I need help deciding how to decorate for our daughters 1st birthday in Hello Kitty and also for our first day of football BBQ! I was thinking of just doing the living room in football since the guys will be watching the game in there and doing the Hello Kitty decorations outside where her little party will be. It’s nothing huge. Maybe 20 people total. Even though I want to make it small I still want everything done really nice. Any ideas? All Hello Kitty and Football decorating/food ideas are welcome! Thanks all!
Hello Kitty colors: pink, white and bright green. Can either do bunches of balloons with pretty ribbon streamers or a weighted down HK balloon in party area. MANY items of HK available for goodie bags so just pick some out when you find them…they also have tumblers and small bowls which guests can keep as a souvenir.
Can have big red bows for guests to wear–and little ones can play pin the bow on Hello Kitty (just write each name on a bow so you know who gets the bow where).

Football….I think the guys are more interested in the food than in any decorations…;). The food table can be done in a plain green tablecloth and lines taped on with white medical tape (and numbers taped on each side of line, like this: 1/ 0 for the ten yard line, etc)—goal posts can be found at party store. Can print team logos out and place at end zones. Place foods on the “field”….
Here’s a treat for CHOCOLATE FOOTBALL TREATS:
Ingredients:
* 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
* 10 ounces miniature marshmallows
* 6 cups of your favorite chocolate crispy rice cereal
* cooking spray
* white decorator icing or gel
Preparation:
Melt butter in medium saute pan over low heat. Add marshmallows and continue to stir until melted. Add cereal to pot and continue stirring until evenly coated with marshmallow mixture. Remove from heat. Lightly spray your hands with cooking spray. Test for comfortable temperature before handling. Form 1/4 cup portions of mixture into football shapes with your hands and place on platter. Use frosting to create laces on top. Makes approximately 2 dozen footballs.

Have plenty of napkins…drinks in coolers with ice to grab and go…the idea is to keep it easy for everyone.
