Why would someone tattoo Hello Kitty on a dog?

Maybe the dog killed an intruder cat while trying to protect it’s owner.. So maybe HK is a celebratory tattoo as to say “One down”. We used to keep tally of how many dogs, cats, birds, mice, rabbits, and other Vermin my rottweiler would kill on the brick fence we painted a silhouette of the victims species to keep count. She was a mountain dog so she killed any animal in the back yard.

I had to keep my Boston Terrier as a house dog for a long time or else the Rott would’ve eaten her like a hot dog.
