these are called “run outs”
you get a picture in this case Hello Kitty
a piece of greaseproof paper
place on top, you can now see the pic through the parchment
you then have a fine piping nozzle with the black, and do the outline
leave to dry, you then make the colours, but the icing is slightly thinner in consistency than the black and you flood each section with the appropriate colour, ensuring it fill each section
its not the easiest thing in the world to do, but with practice you will get there
and fun to do
