Do I sound like a Wapanese to you?
I just wanted to know if I sounded like a Japanese wannabe, so here’s my description:
I love all things Japanese. I love Pocky and sushi, but I loved it before I knew it was japanese. I don’t really like anime, but i LOVE manga. I do insert the word Kawaii in my speech, but only if something is Japanese-cute (Hello kitty, a cute japanese brand, etc). besides that, I am learning japanese, but not with anime, but with books and iPhone apps. I also listen to j-pop, but also western music. I love Japanese mascots like Rilakkuma, hello kitty and Keroppi. I also used to have a crush on an anime character, but now i’m over it and find it stupid. I also doodle japanese Kanji on my notebooks. finally, I like Gwen Stefani.
Please tell me if i sound like a weeaboo, please!!

From your description I would say NO, you don’t sound like a Wapanese, only like a person that really enjoys Japanese culture and stuff. In my opinion, you become a “Weeaboo” when you express your passion in Japan in a way that is very annoying to other people. For instance, abusing the word “kawaii” or other Japanese words when speaking in English with other people are characteristics of a Wapanese. Or trying to get other people into Japanese things (like manga) when they really don’t want to would make you a Wapanese too. This doesn’t seem to be your case though :3
