Sanrio Application

Turned away from job for not knowing Spanish.?

I live in South Florida, I went to the mall and was job hunting, I went in to Sanrio (hello kitty store) and the woman told me to fill out an application and then she would speak to me. When I came back, she looked over the application and only asked one question. “Do you speak Spanish?” and as soon as I said no, she put the application under the desk and said thank you. Was this wrong of her? If so, what can I do?

If Sanrio requires its employees to speak Spanish, then you’re not qualified for the job and the manager is not obligated to give your application further consideration.
