is it illegal to shoot pigeons with an air rifle?

i live in phoenix az and iam tired of them eating my dog’s food…. everytime i give them food pigeons com from every where and eta it all… can i shoot them????

Official answer: You need to call your DNR office and see if pigeons are legal to shoot in AZ… plus get filled in on licences and seasons if they are. Check you local laws about discharging weapons, hunting and other such issues… those vary from city to city and county to county. After all ..your dog could eat in the house or someplace the pigeons cannot get to.
